#BirdsofTwitter

Our Creative Director at the time, had the great idea to rebrand all of our meeting rooms throughout all of the Twitter offices around the world. As part of the creative #studio team, we were tasked to concept and design posters that would live within the walls of each and one of those meeting rooms using one of John J. Audubon’s “Birds of America” artwork collection.

Each designer had to pick a bird to use and transform it using Twitter’s current brand style guide, as well looking into the birds’ name hashtag within Twitter and create a concept based on a chosen tweet. The concepts were so good that they ended up being printed in a book collection called “Birds of Twitter”.

The bird that I chose to work with is known as the “Noddy Tern”. While doing some research about the species’, I noticed a peculiar look in their eyes that makes them be seen as indifferent or lethargic. This statement makes a big connection with the tweet, the birds’ body position in the design and a typical saying I’m sure you’ve heard: “When life gives you lemons, make lemonade”.
